August 10, 2015 (Reston, VA) ” MAPPS, the association of private sector geospatial firms, is pleased to announce today it is accepting entries for the 9th Annual MAPPS Geospatial Products and Services Excellence Awards.
The Excellence Awards exemplify the professionalism, value, integrity and achievement of MAPPS member firms as demonstrated over the previous year. A panel of five judges will evaluate the submitted projects from eight categories:
- airborne and satellite data acquisition;
- photogrammetry/elevation data generation;
- remote sensing;
- GIS/IT;
- surveying/field data collection;
- small projects;
- technology innovation;
- licensed data products.
The panel will review each submission and select a winner for each category. A Grand Award will be presented from the category award winners to represent the MAPPS Project of the Year. Winners will be announced at the 2016 MAPPS Winter Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
