MARKHAM, Ontario, Canada – January 8, 2016 — PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of remote sensing and photogrammetric software and systems, will be holding a User Group Meeting in Ottawa, Canada on February 4th, 2016.
The free event will bring together the PCI Geomatics User Community from Ottawa and the surrounding regions, and is open to all. Presentations will cover new technology that has been developed by PCI Geomatics for extracting high resolution Digital Elevation Models (DEMs), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Automated Historical Image Processing and new Python based developer tools.
In addition to new technology that will be highlighted, a special Educational Showcase session is planned that will recognize the work being done by students and researchers and their contributions to advance the field of Remote Sensing.
The event will also serve as the launch for the new PCI Geomatics Developer Zone, a dedicated web site and destination to learn about using the Geomatica Python API and developing workflows for different geospatial applications.
