Map of the Month: Brick-and-Mortar Retail Turnover, Europe 2018

by | Aug 16, 2018

Brick-and-mortar retail turnover is expected to increase nominally by +2.1% across the EU-28 in 2018. The winners are Romania (+7.5%), Estonia (+6.8%) and the Czech Republic (+6.5%). Gains are also anticipated for the other EU-28, although the United Kingdom barely holds steady at +0.1%. These are some of the many results from our recent European retail study, which evaluates various retail trends and features a 2018 prognosis.

GfK’s Map of the Month for August illustrates the forecasted 2018 increases in brick-and-mortar retail turnover for each of the considered countries.
