The new labelling solution will be used on all Leica Geosystems Original Accessories, which include both mechanical and optical tools such as prisms, tribrachs, poles and tripods and electrical equipment like batteries, cables, memory cards and USB sticks. Assurance of authenticity
The security label allows customers to confirm the authenticity of an accessory at purchase, wherever they are, via smartphones or the Leica Geosystems' customer portal myWorld. The label include protected logos and a hologram to aid recognition as well as a unique security code that can be read via a QR code reader or manually entered via the Leica Geosystems myWorld customer portal.
Previously, it was almost impossible to distinguish easily between genuine Leica Geosystems Original Accessories and counterfeit products, explains Gerhard Soenser, product manager for original accessories at Leica Geosystems.
