GITA Sponsors GoGeomatics Back to School Socials

by | Sep 1, 2015

St. Paul, Minnesota, September 1, 2015 “ The Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA) is proud to sponsor the 2nd Annual GoGeomatics Back to School Socials this September. Offered at university cities across Canada, these free events aim to encourage new and returning geomatics students to engage with students from other programs, leading industry professionals, and managers. These community events are a great opportunity for people from all areas of geomatics to come together and share the latest information with students and non-students alike. GITA will be represented at eight of these socials by current and past members of GITA's North America Board of Directors, or a leader of its Pacific Northwest Chapter. Financial support to GoGeomatics Back to School Socials comes from a generous donation provided by GITA's Pacific Northwest Chapter. GITA's mission is to provide geospatial solutions in education, information exchange, and applied research on the use and benefits of geospatial information and technology for worldwide infrastructure.
