AeroMetric's Cloutier Receives Recognition for Serving on Alaska Surveying and Mapping Conference Board

Anchorage, Alaska, March 12, 2013”Aero-Metric, Inc. (AeroMetric) employee Jacques Cloutier received an award of recognition from the Alaska Region of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) for serving as an Officer on the board of the Alaska Surveying and Mapping Conference from 2006-2013.¨¨Matt Altman, current President of the Alaska Chapter of ASPRS, said Cloutier was presented with his award for his years of service to ASPRS. Altman adds, We appreciate Jacques’ willingness to serve, his preparation of technical sessions, overseeing annual competitions, and providing continuity of leadership for these many years.¨¨Cloutier explained his duties as a board member of the Alaska Surveying and Mapping Conference, stating that he was responsible for planning conferences that are rich in content and that represent the educational requirements of the Surveying and Mapping community. Serving on the board has allowed me to collaborate with a variety of professionals to ensure each year’s conference was a success.¨¨Cloutier, who is currently a Project Manager at AeroMetric, also served as a Past President of the Alaska Chapter of ASPRS after earning his Bachelor's of Science at the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2005. In addition to ASPRS, Cloutier is also a member of the Alaska Society of Professional Land Surveyors. ¨¨Jacques has served our profession with distinction, having participated on the conference planning committee for 6 years, according to AeroMetric's Senior Vice President, Tony Follett. He has helped broaden the scope of the conference keeping it technically relevant and financially successful. I extend my personal thanks to Jacques for his spirit of giving back to our profession.
