Sterling Geo Celebrates Alliance with the Satellite Applications Catapult

Loughborough, United Kingdom, Nov. 14, 2014”Sterling Geo is delighted to announce that the 4th November marked the first day of our activity with the Satellite Applications Catapult based on the Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire. Sterling Geo will have a second base in the office complex, working alongside other space focused SMEs.

The Catapult is an elite UK technology and innovation centre focused on space related applications and their associated research, development and commercialisation.

The Catapult is working with Sterling Geo in the pursuit of the commercialisation of new satellite technologies to help the UK capture a 10% share of the £400bn global space market predicted by 2030.

Phil Cooper, Director and General Manager of Sterling Geo said, I am delighted to be undertaking work with the Satellite Applications Catapult.  We will be supporting this facility moving forward and hope to add value to their already impressive portfolio.

The Catapult works closely with SMEs to develop their businesses, and this is always easier when organisations are close at hand. The Harwell site is increasingly becoming a focus for space related organisations and we very much look forward to working with Sterling Geo.

Facilities at the centre include a video wall with 3D projectors, an interactive touch screen table, a satellite control centre and a purpose built facility for monitoring the climate and environmental changes on Earth from Space.
