PCI Geomatics Announces Educational Campaign in Brazil

MARKHAM, Ontario, Canada - PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of remote sensing and photogrammetric software and systems, announced today an incentive program to provide Geomatica software to educational institutions in Brazil.

Together with its reseller partner in Brazil, GlobalGeo, PCI Geomatics is offering educational institutions in Brazil (both federal and state level educational organizations) access to Geomatica through a limited time offer. Geomatica can be purchased for the cost of support and update from April 1, 2019 to November 30, 2019.

Geomatica is an advanced image processing and remote sensing package which is used by educational institutions around the globe. The educational package provides access to leading edge image processing capability including Object Based Image Analysis (OBIA), Polarimetric and InSAR processing, DEM Extraction from aerial and satellite imagery, as well as new Analysis Ready Data (ARD) tools for Multi-Temporal Analysis (MTA).

PCI Geomatics has been working in close collaboration with GlobalGeo in Brazil recently, including establishing joint educational outreach activities through LabGIS, a research center affiliated with the State University of Rio de Janeiro. LabGIS offers instructional webinars in Portuguese on a regular basis, which can be accessed through the PCI Geomatics YouTube channel.

To meet representatives from GlobaGeo and discuss PCI Geomatics technology, be sure to visit GlobalGeo in Booth # 11 at the upcoming Remote Sensing Symposium for Brazil (SBSR), being held in the Mendes Convention Center in Santos, Brazil, from April 14 – 17th, 2019.
