Greenwood Village, Colo., April 23, 2013”Merrick & Company's (www.merrick.com) geospatial solutions (GSS) group partnered with Midland Surveying of Maryville, MO on two projects while providing ground and aerial survey services for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). Â Services include planimetric compilation, terrain modeling, orthoimagery, ground surveying, and light detection and ranging (LiDAR) to be used for future preliminary highway design and re-routing.
Each project consists of nine separate sites throughout the state, and together, total over 140 line miles of highway. Â Each site contains three differing LiDAR densities with corridor widths that average 600-ft. Aerial imagery, all visible planimetric features, and breaklines were compiled to help enforce the LiDAR surface. Â Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC)-compliant metadata is supplied for all deliverables.
