London Stock Exchange Recognises 1Spatial as One of Britain’s Most Inspiring Companies

Cambridge, March 11, 2015 — 1Spatial plc, the spatial big data company was acknowledged for the second year running in The London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) research report as one of the ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’, launched yesterday at the LSE opening.

To be considered for inclusion in the report, companies had to meet a range of criteria. These included being UK based, having a turnover of between £6-250 million in the last 12 months and a minimum of three years in operation. Companies had to demonstrate not only a positive growth in revenue over the last four years, but also an increase in employee numbers, workspace, contract wins or patent filings.

Marcus Hanke, Chief Executive Officer of 1Spatial said: “We are proud that for a second year 1Spatial has been recognised as one of the most inspiring SMEs in the country. Our continued growth both in the UK and internationally and our focus on innovation and attracting the best talent, means we can look forward to continued success. It is encouraging to see the growth of the UK technology sector and the support from the London Stock Exchange for companies like 1Spatial and we were pleased to be part of the launch event yesterday.”

The report examined in detail the opportunities and challenges facing SMEs and looked at the sectors and trends that will shape the future of the UK economy. The UK’s technology sector is in very good health.
