Leica Geosystems AG Achieves ISO 9001:2008 and ISO14001:2004 Recertification

With the recent ISO recertification, issued by an external accredited assessment and certification body, customers also have an independent validation that highest quality is met at every stage of the development and production process.

The Quality and Environmental Management System of Leica Geosystems AG has been recertified to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 compliance for the development, manufacture, distribution, support and service of products, precision tools and systems for geomatics, industrial, machine control and construction applications with zero non-conformities.

Fulfilling customers' and environmental requirements
ISO 9001:2008 specifies the requirements for a company’s quality management system where the organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that meet customer needs. ISO 14001:2004 sets the criteria for an environmental management system to improve resource efficiency, reduce waste and minimize environmental impact.

At Leica Geosystems, quality is not just about products; it also applies to all our processes. Leica Geosystems received its first ISO 9001 certification in 1985 and its first ISO 14001 certification in 1998. The company has consistently demonstrated its commitment to quality and environmental sustainability and has continuously developed its processes and systems. The company subsequently received certifications for its worldwide sales and service organizations. With this recent recertification, Leica Geosystems combines all these certificates under one global certification scheme.
