Getmapping Wins a Place on the G-Cloud 7 Framework

December 9, 2015 ” Getmapping Plc has been re-appointed as a supplier of cloud-based GIS data and software services to the UK Public Sector under the G-Cloud 7 Framework. Managed by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), the G-Cloud is an online catalogue available to all Government organisations. It features carefully selected suppliers and the cloud-based commodity services they offer.

In addition to assisting users easily find what they are looking for, the Framework provides them with a straightforward purchase methodology, enabling them to sidestep lengthy and expensive standard procurement via OJEU or Invitation to Tender. The G-Cloud has been refined and improved in recent years and is gaining significant traction within the Public Sector, as increasing numbers of users recognise its considerable cost and time-saving benefits.

Getmapping offers a series of cloud-based Geo-Information services including managed data collections featuring Ordnance Survey PSMA and OpenData, Aerial Imagery and a highly effective online GIS software solution. The web services architecture is based on OGC standard WMS, WMTS and WFS for geodata visualisation.
