by | Sep 28, 2017

PITTSBURGH - Geospatial Corporation (OTC: GSPH) announces today that it has been approved as a vendor for IGAPP, which is run by Engility Holdings, Inc. in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA’s) mission.  NGA is both a combat support agency under the U.S. Department of Defense and an intelligence agency of the United States Intelligence Community, with the primary mission of collecting, analyzing, and distributing geospatial intelligence in support of national security.

Geospatial intends to submit a GeoUnderground app for Android that will be available at the GEOINT app store at no cost to credentialed U.S. government employees, first responders and the Department of Defense (DoD).

Mark Smith, Geospatial Corporation’s CEO stated, “Being named as an Approved Vendor creates a multitude of new opportunities to provide apps like GeoUnderground directly into the hands of the Intelligence community and DoD users in the areas of disaster response and critical infrastructure among others. This is a major step forward in establishing Geospatial Corporation’s presence in the Federal and municipal sector and reflects the need and demand for accurate underground infrastructure geospatial data.  While we have many private-sector clients, the IGAPP Program will provide us numerous opportunities to work with government entities in 2018, providing apps to help manage their critical underground infrastructure.”

About IGAPP

The Innovative GEOINT Application Provider Program (IGAPP) serves as NGA’s secure supply chain, bringing innovative apps to the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense. Introducing an evolutionary business model, IGAPP is designed to manage contracting and technological challenges while providing users with a mobile experience that supports their mission requirements. IGAPP simplifies working with the federal government by bringing innovative apps to the end-user community across all mission areas, replacing the traditional method of developing and implementing apps under a project or program procurement effort.

To enhance the federal government collaboration experience, IGAPP offers relationship management between end users and vendors by translating mission needs into a more familiar language released as Vendor Opportunity Packages (VOPs) in the effort to ensure that end products meet the customer’s needs. IGAPP also provides access to Subject-Matter Experts (SMEs) with knowledge about Geographic Information Systems (GIS), its application to the NGA Mission, and are well informed on NGA data, infrastructure, and testing requirements. IGAPP assists developers with the expertise to build reliable, secure, and cost-effective apps at a fast pace, all through a single contract. While the primary focus is ensuring “first-time right, every time”, the IGAPP process is designed to move apps through testing and validation quickly and securely into the hands of federal users.  Visit the IGAPP website at www.IGAPP.com .
