BERLIN, GERMANY, May 21, 2014—Today at the ILA Berlin Air Show, Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation of Manassas, Virginia, and ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH of Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany announced a teaming agreement to pursue cooperative business opportunities in Germany.
ESG and Aurora expect to work together on specific projects and services, leveraging ESG’s premier experience in systems integration, along with Aurora’s industry-recognized UAS products and know-how, especially as the leading manufacturer of an operational MALE-class optionally-piloted aircraft, the Centaur OPA.
Aurora CEO Dr. John Langford cited ESG’s long track record as the systems integrator of choice for the German military. “ESG is the recognized market-leader in Germany for expert knowledge and systems integration of complex systems,” remarked Langford. “Whether cockpit upgrades or complex training systems, ESG has proven themselves to be able to execute world-class technology solutions.”
ESG CEO Kai Horten also expressed enthusiasm for the teaming agreement with Aurora. “As an independent systems integrator, ESG identifies the optimum technology solutions to meet users’ needs, without trying to force the customer’s requirements into pre-existing system solutions,” said Horten. “We have identified some of Aurora’s technologies and platforms as being ideal for meeting emerging requirements in Germany and even throughout Europe.”
