Tensing Reaches Esri Gold Partner Status

by | Jan 13, 2016

ROCKVILLE, Md. & WAARDENBURG, Netherlands ” Tensing is pleased to announce that the company has recently been named an Esri Gold Partner. With this step, both organizations acknowledge the many years of intensive cooperation and knowledge sharing, as well as the increased focus by Tensing in the field of geosystems technology.

Tensing is honored to be named an Esri Gold Partner, said Tensing's CEO Martin Knook. Tensing will be investing more and more in this important relationship and expanding our US operations as well as our European practice. We will increase our focus on our Global Esri Consulting Services practice and continue our product development on the ArcGIS-platform, Knook continued.

Tensing uses the ArcGIS-platform with product development, projects and services to customers. For example, Tensing’s advanced control room software CCR360 is built on Esri ArcGIS-platform, and Tensing's mobility and mapping solutions are integrated with Esri. With the Gold Partnership, Tensing will continue the growth of the Geo-ICT services (consulting, support and management) and products.

“Geographic information has become a standard part of both our private and business lives and more organizations realize that,” said Dave Laurier, Director of the GIS Consultancy practice at Tensing. “Combining this information through the innovative ArcGIS-platform with information from other systems, can provide answers to new questions. However, specific knowledge about Geo-ICT is not always available within the organization. Tensing has a large team of Esri-certified professionals to support organizations with advice and deployments of ArcGIS-solutions. We are proud that our expertise is recognized by the award of the Gold partnership with Esri.”

“Geographic information systems are increasingly used in the Public sector for order and security”, says Dirk Verbeek, Tensing Director of Safety and Security. “Making geographic information available to a control room, creates a real time, geocentric common operational picture. An example of such application is Tensing's CCR360 that runs on the Esri ArcGIS-platform. Thanks to this application of Geo-ICT, it will show on an interactive map the location of all units, which incidents take place and other useful information such as weather and traffic.”

Jort Engels, Partner Manager for Esri in the Netherlands, reports: “Tensing and Esri Netherlands have worked closely together for many years. We do so for example in the public safety sector, where Tensing positions its solution CCR360. CCR360 is exclusively based on the ArcGIS-platform. The business unit of Tensing GIS Consulting focuses on various types of GIS consultancy and focuses itself on the ArcGIS-platform. GIS Consulting has a clear vision and strategy in the further development and maintenance of the GIS expertise of its employees through an annual, company-wide GIS training program. In addition, there are clear objectives with regard to certified specialists in the areas of ArcGIS for Desktop, Developer, and Enterprise. Given these developments, the move to a Gold partnership feels like a logical and natural step forward.”
