Sentinel-1A Arrives at Launch Site in French Guiana

Cannes, France, Feb. 24, 2014—Sentinel-1A, the European Space Agency (ESA) satellite designed and built by Thales Alenia Space, arrived this morning at the Guiana Space Center, the launch site in Kourou, French Guiana. Sentinel-1A is the first satellite in Europe's vast Copernicus Earth Observation program (previously known as GMES), program of ESA in partnership with
