A Robotic Water Sampling Drone to Improve Aquatic Understanding

Researchers are developing an unmanned quadcopter with a tube and a pump they can fly to the middle of a large body of water or other hard-to-reach area to collect samples. The goal is to obtain quick samples over large areas to increase understanding of critical natural resources.

AUVSI Partners with National Advanced Mobility Consortium

The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) has become a partner of the National Advanced Mobility Consortium, or NAMC, in a supported organization arrangement. NAMC was formerly known as the Robotics Technology Consortium. NAMC serves as the U.S. Department of Defense's industry research and development partner for all ground systems technologies, both manned and
