TORONTO, July 9, 2014”Optech is pleased to announce that it is a Silver Sponsor of the Imagery Pavilion at the 2014 Esri User Conference in San Diego, California. Optech will be at the Esri UC from July 12 to 18 to show how our full line of lidar, cameras and processing software is collecting the 3D imagery to fuel the growth of GIS.

As an official Silver Sponsor of the Imagery Pavilion, Optech is teaming up with leading mapping company US Imaging to provide a talk titled Efficient and Accurate Airborne Corridor Mapping, an inside look at how to efficiently collect, process, and deliver the highly accurate 3D information demanded by corridor operations, with examples focusing on modeling existing infrastructure, risk assessment and reporting. Optech Regional Manager Brenda Burroughs and US Imaging COO Randy Rhoads will walk through the production process, including flight planning, execution, and in-air quality assurance with Optech FMS, highly automated integration and processing with Optech LMS, and final product completion with Esri ArcGIS. If you want to pick up some tricks to improve your workflow, come and visit the Demo Theater on Tuesday, July 15 at 4:30-5:00 pm in the Imagery Island (Hall C).

Optech is also distributing ten tickets for the invitation-only Imagery Social at the Omni Pool & Palm Terrace on the evening of July 16, where imaging professionals from around the globe will gather for refreshments and networking. It is a very popular event, so if you want to secure a ticket or simply wish to find out more about Optech's airborne, mobile, terrestrial and bathymetric lidar and cameras, just drop by Optech Booth 1512 in the Imagery Pavilion.

At the show, be sure to see how our Orion ALTM lidar sensor combines an ultra-compact installation footprint with industry-leading data precision and tight integration with gyro-stabilized mounting and Optech's CS-series of metric digital cameras, enabling even small companies to get into the GIS collection business with a sensor configuration custom-designed to fit their particular application. Down on the ground, the Lynx Mobile Mapperâ„¢ now offers a compact model too, with the Mapping-Grade MG1 option for surveyors who need to collect dense imagery and 3D data on a budget, and the larger Survey-Grade SG1 option for those who want to maximize their data accuracy for engineering projects. To learn about the most advanced airborne bathymetry system in the world, currently in use by several government agencies for critical missions, come to Booth 1512 where you can see fascinating examples of the data the CZMIL system and integrated HydroFusion workflow can produce.
