This drone’s-eye view of the north coast of Cornwall, United Kingdom, was captured with a Phantom 2 drone from DJI.

The crowd-funding and crowd-developer site AppMovement has an app project under way that will help drone owners share locations for safely operating drones. The app will address the proliferation of hobby drones and the complexity of restrictions, allowing users to share information around the world.

The app will help drone users share safe and legal places to fly drones as well as areas where privacy and noise concerns can be avoided. Developers expect the app to help identify safe training grounds and promote responsible drone use to ease public backlash.

You can join the effort to develop the app or help fund it at https://app-movement.com/view/64.
