This is a tremendous honour and a complete surprise, commented Rachel Tidmarsh, Managing Director and co-founder of Coalville based Bluesky International. I was so pleased to have even been shortlisted, she continued. However, this was never just about me. These awards celebrate the hard work, dedication and innovation of every single person at Bluesky and I am pleased to accept it on their behalf.
The Business Executive of the Year Awards are designed to recognise the talented professionals who steer Leicestershire companies to success. A ten person judging panel, including senior representatives from KPMG, the Bank of England, the University of Leicester, Leicester Mercury as well as last year's winner Managing Director of brewery group Everards Stephen Gould, were looking for executives who showed drive, dynamism and quality leadership. Video presentations were used to select individual category winners and the overall Business Executive of the Year from a carefully selected shortlist.
