Sherry Named Merrick COO

Denver, Oct. 2, 2013”Christopher Sherry, PE, Senior Vice President, has been named Chief Operating Officer of Merrick & Company, it was announced by the firm’s CEO, David G. Huelskamp. In this role, Sherry will be responsible for the successful execution of all Merrick projects and the overall financial performance of all Merrick business units, including international subsidiaries.

Most recently, Sherry led the Corporate & Business Development Group, with his achievements including the acquisition of four firms that have contributed an additional $12M in revenue to Merrick. The firms acquisitions included McLaughlin Water Engineers (CO), Turnbull Metzler Design (NC), Energy Ace (GA), and KM Ng & Associates (TX). Prior to leading the acquisition and business development activities, Sherry led the Facilities, Science and Technology business unit at Merrick, delivering multi-discipline design solutions to clients throughout the United States and Canada.

He is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of Denver, and is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, and the American Council of Engineering Companies. He serves on the Board of Governors, Metro Denver Economic Development Corp. and the Board of Directors, Boy Scouts of America, Denver Area Council.
