Woolpert's Texas-based Cessna 404 Titan includes a Leica ALS LiDAR system.

Woolpert announced on Aug. 4 it has stationed one of its Cessna 404 Titan aircraft at the Mesquite Metro Airport in Texas. The aircraft is equipped with a state-of-the-art Leica LiDAR system and a large-format digital camera and is the first to be based in Texas.

With the opening of our Dallas office earlier this year, we quickly realized the opportunity and need for large-format digital acquisition capabilities in Texas, said Jeff Lovin, Woolpert senior vice president and director of geospatial services. Therefore, we felt it imperative to base an aircraft in the state to meet our clients' needs. We are proud to be the first to do so in the Lone Star State.

Woolpert established its Dallas operation through an acquisition earlier this year to support the Texas market and strengthen its western presence.
