PARIS AIR SHOW, Paris - UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), today announced a collaborative effort with Northrop Grumman Corporation to launch a new era of coordinated technology development. UTC Aerospace Systems and Northrop Grumman will align their technology investments on key products and systems in order to develop and deliver advanced, affordable technologies to their joint customers.

"Northrup Grumman is forward-thinking on a new approach to working with key suppliers to find win-win arrangements that produce the best results for our two companies, and for our end-customers. We are excited to partner with Northrup Grumman, and to establish a new approach of working together to produce the most value for our customers," said Dave Gitlin, President, UTC Aerospace Systems. "This is the beginning of a shared vision built on customer needs, where we can create great value by aligning our efforts. This is all about accelerating innovation."

"Over the last five years, UTC Aerospace Systems has amassed a portfolio of over 4,000 aircraft components and terabytes of related performance data," said Geoff Hunt, Vice President Technology and Engineering, UTC Aerospace Systems.
