TerraGo Edge Now Available with All Ruggedized Android Tablets from DT Research

Washington, D.C. – June 2, 2016 TerraGo is pleased to announce a technology partnership that matches the ruggedized performance of high-accuracy, ruggedized GNSS tablets with TerraGo’s industry-leading platform TerraGo Edge, to enable organizations to customize mobile applications for their industry-specific and company-designed workflows on a device that stands up to the most demanding environments for water, temperature, dust, shock and vibration resistance.

“This is an unbeatable combination for customers that are reluctant to use consumer-devices but want all the benefits of a modern, mobile, cloud-based app,” according to Mario Gosalvez, Manager of Business Development at DT Research. “For the customer that recognizes the undisputed performance advantage of Android over legacy GPS devices, but is reluctant to rely upon the reliability of personal devices for their mission-critical field work, the combination of the DT395GS rugged tablet and TerraGo Edge is the clear answer.”

“This solution gives our most demanding customers the accuracy, reliability and performance they need in one single device, which overcomes every, single objection we’ve ever heard from the remaining organizations still clinging to outdated, proprietary GPS handhelds,” says John Timar, Vice President, Worldwide Sales, TerraGo.

“The DT Research GNSS Tablets, pre-loaded with TerraGo Edge, support the toughest field conditions in any industry; while we enable customers to design exactly the app they need for any industry or workflow.”

The DT395GS is now available, pre-loaded with the free version of the TerraGo Edge app. For existing devices without TerraGo Edge, users can download TerraGo Edge for Android here.
