Greenwood Village, Colo., April 23, 2013—Merrick & Company’s (www.merrick.com) geospatial solutions (GSS) group partnered with Midland Surveying of Maryville, MO on two projects while providing ground and aerial survey services for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).  Services include planimetric compilation, terrain modeling, orthoimagery, ground surveying, and light detection and ranging (LiDAR) to be used for future preliminary highway design and re-routing.

Each project consists of nine separate sites throughout the state, and together, total over 140 line miles of highway.  Each site contains three differing LiDAR densities with corridor widths that average 600-ft. Aerial imagery, all visible planimetric features, and breaklines were compiled to help enforce the LiDAR surface.  Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC)-compliant metadata is supplied for all deliverables.
