INTERGEO TV in August

As the international information platform for the geocommunity, INTERGEO TV is showcasing various topical productions on the news portal www.intergeo-tv.com in August.

The August edition of the News (online from 4 August) explores the extent to which geodata and standard applications have already found their way into our everyday lives. INTERGEO TV met with Ed Parsons, Geospatial Technologist at Google, to discuss this in London. He makes it clear that digital maps and a wide range of georeferenced gadgets will be providing users with personalised information in the future. The full interview with Ed Parsons will be available in the ‘Opinion leader’ section from 11 August onwards.

INTERGEO TV News looks back at the life of DVW President Prof. Karl-Friedrich Thöne, who died unexpectedly on 15 July 2016. In his role as DVW President he was very closely involved in developing INTERGEO from 2009 until his death. Prof. Thöne was a key player in events, associations and the geocommunity in various positions of responsibility.

A feature on Esri Germany is planned for the ‘Career edition’ on 18 August. Esri is one of the most diverse employers on the geoinformation market. It offers GIS beginners and experienced specialists a wide range of work at its German headquarters in Kranzberg near Munich, the recently opened main branch in Berlin and at other locations in Germany and Switzerland. INTERGEO TV presents a detailed profile of this top geoindustry employer.

INTERGEO TV has regular reports in English on current aspects of the international geo-industry on the video platform www.intergeo-tv.com in the News, Opinion Leader, Career and Solutions & Services sections.
