GoGeomatics Canada Offers Staffing Services for Geomatics Positions

GoGeomatics Canada is pleased to announce they are now offering complete staffing services for geomatics positions, such as geomatics engineering, GIS application development, enterprise level GIS, GIS database architecture and project management, surveying, and drafting. These expanded staffing services are designed to assist companies in finding top-quality talent, particularly for hard-to-staff positions.

For more than 10 years, GoGeomatics has managed the largest and most popular job board for geomatics positions in Canada. Through this, they have accumulated a database of highly qualified candidates across all geospatial disciplines, including surveying, remote sensing, engineering, GIS, cartography, and more. They also connect with geospatial professionals in the real world, through career seminars and monthly networking events.

“We know geomatics,” explains Managing Director Jonathan Murphy. “That’s what sets us apart. For example, what’s the difference between a GIS web mapping developer and a GIS application developer? The average recruiter doesn’t know the subtleties of the skill-sets involved or the experience needed to handle these types of positions, but we do. And that can make all the difference when finding the perfect candidate for a position.”

The results, Mr. Murphy explains, are access to more qualified candidates, and less time spent on the hiring process.

Senior recruitment consultant Sharon Kelly will be heading up client services for the staffing team. Sharon has 20 years of experience in the sourcing, selection, and retention of technical talent for high-performing organizations, and has placed thousands of candidates within organizations across Canada, such as Canadian Pacific Railway, SMART Technologies, and TransAlta. She brings a wealth of experience in staffing geomatics positions as well. During her time with NovAtel, a provider of high-precision OEM GNSS position products, she was directly involved with staffing 200 positions at all levels. Sharon brings to this role a unique approach that is based on collaboration and dedication to achieving hiring goals.
