Sept. 3, 2014, Alexandria, Va.”Government experts will guide attendees through the many proven and highly successful programs currently available to firms seeking export assistance at the Geospatial & Engineering International Conference, September 25-26, 2014. Panels will include officials from the Small Business Administration, Commerce Department, Trade and Development Agency, Export-Import Bank (EX-IM Bank), and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Inter-agency and International Services Division.

Attendees will learn about U.S. government agencies that have business assistance programs and services directly related to the exporting of professional engineering and geospatial services, products, technology, and data. The session will also provide firms a road map to expanding into the international marketplace and the officials in U.S. agencies providing support for private sector businesses.

In addition to Federal agency assistance organizations, attendees will hear from companies that support exporting through ITAR and exporting control, legal, tax, human resources, and accounting topics.

“We’ve assembled a program of speakers and presentations that has never before been organized in one place at one time in the geospatial and engineering market,” said John Palatiello, MAPPS Executive Director. “This is a very cost-effective and efficient way for members of our community to learn about exporting geospatial services, data, products and technology. The conference is focused on where the work is, how to compete for it, what’s available to help U.S. firms, and what is needed to go or grow globally”.

Conference attendees are eligible for a $50 discount in addition to the early registration fee by making a hotel reservation at the Westin Alexandria (Alexandria, VA). Once an attendee has reserved a room, contact MAPPS to receive a special promotional code to receive the $50 discount. This offer will expire on September 4.
