Leica Geosystems Releases Tridicon APM Trio Solution for Generating Highly Matched, Automated Oblique Projects

by | Apr 16, 2014

Heerbrugg, Switzerland, April 15, 2014”Leica Geosystems announced the release of the tridicon® APM Trio, a unique and efficient software solution that simplifies the generation of oblique point matching and aerial triangulation (AT) of multi-view oblique and nadir imagery taken with the Leica RCD30 Oblique camera system.

Oblique image processing significantly differs from traditional photogrammetry because of the multi-directional views taken with the camera and the potentially vast amount of data, says Ruedi Wagner, VP of Geospatial Solutions at Leica Geosystems. tridicon® APM Trio delivers an easy to use tool to automatically capture tie points across all images in the oblique block. It provides the basis for accurate orientation that is required in basic oblique measurement and for creating automatically generated 3D building and surface models.

tridicon® APM Trio is seamlessly integrated into the Leica RCD30 oblique workflow but is capable of handling most oblique image sensors. It provides a black box approach to triangulation as well as export functionality to professional AT packages such as ORIMA management software to perform more sophisticated bundle block adjustment with a multitude of analysis tools.
